Practice Areas
I operate a general pratice law firm. That means that I can help you with almost any legal situation that you some across. I have experience in drafting and reviewing wills, contracts, and lease agreements; incorporating businesses; collecting past due accounts; probating estates; filing construction liens, and resolving disputes between individuals and businesses inside and out of the courtroom. I do not handle matters involving criminal defense or personal injury. In addition to these general areas I also practice in the specific areas listed below.
Condemnation
Most governmental bodies and a few private entities have what is called the power of eminent domain. Through the exercise of this power, these entities can acquire privately owned property when it is needed (and used) for public purposes. The process of exercising this power and acquiring privately owned property is also known as condemnation.
Intellectual Property
Intellectual property is the term commonly used to refer to the subject matter of copyrights, trademarks and patents. At its core, intellectual property is ideas. While it is not commercially reasonable to register every idea, the actual cost of registration is not out of bounds for protection of most ideas. Failing to adequately protect your intellectual property can have significant consequences.
